About Adyen
Adyen is an online payment platform that enables businesses to accept payments securely and efficiently.
In both baskets our integration with Adyen uses an Adyen component embedded into the payment step of the shopping basket, this means that although it appears as though this is a ‘remote’ integration, all card details are captured and hosted by Adyen. This provides the security benefits of redirect and the user experience benefits of remote!
Our Adyen integration also supports payments in instalments (with optional interest), and payments via local payment methods such as Redcompra, Efecty, and PSE.
New accounts can take up to 14 days to be created, depending on complexity, risk level, and compliance checks (as of November 2024)
Please note
Adyen very infrequently accepts accounts for small to medium businesses.

Please speak to your Customer Success Manager to ensure your system has been configured to require a billing address in your basket!
Instalment Payments
Instalment payments allow your customers to pay for their booking in monthly instalments, rather than paying for their booking all at once!
If you have configured your Adyen payment method in your accessplanit platform to accept Instalment payments, your customers will see an instalment option within the Adyen payment area where they can select how many instalments they would like to pay in and view the interest.
Adyen will manage the process of charging your customer each month, therefore once your customer has completed their initial payment your accessplanit platform will consider this booking paid for, and the corresponding Invoice will be recorded as ‘Completed’ with an Adyen transaction assigned to the Invoice.
If the customer does not complete their remaining payments, an administrator will need to update your accessplanit platform to support any of your processes, such as action any cancellations or mark the Invoice as unpaid.
If you apply interest for your customers who pay in instalments, there will be an additional line on the Invoices to indicate how much interest was charged. Please note that tax is not charged on the interest.
Please note
Interest will not be refunded when an Invoice (with interest applied due to instalments) has a refund processed.
Alternative Payment Methods
The Adyen Drop-in tool supports many alternative payment methods from around the world.
The payment methods appear in the basket, based on a number of factors, including:
Which methods you have enabled within your Adyen Account (please speak to Adyen for support with this)
The currency of the basket (i.e. GBP, USD, COP)
The total value of the basket (some payment methods are not available for very high or very low value baskets)
The billing country selected within the basket
The location of the user making the booking
We can confirm that the following payment methods have been tested and are supported by the Adyen Drop-in integration in your accessplanit platform.
Redcompra (available for users based in Chile paying for baskets in the currency CLP)
Efecty (available for users based in Colombia paying for baskets in the currency COP)
PSE (available for users based in Colombia paying for baskets in the currency COP)
Baloto (available for users based in Colombia paying for baskets in the currency COP)
Please Note
When a customer successfully completes their booking using any of these payment methods, your accessplanit platform will consider this booking paid for, and the corresponding Invoice will be recorded as ‘Completed’ with an Adyen transaction assigned to the Invoice.
If the customer does not complete their remaining payments, an administrator will need to update your accessplanit platform to support any of your processes, such as action any cancellations or mark the Invoice as unpaid.
If you would like to use any alternative options that are not included in the list above, please be mindful that these methods have not been tested at accessplanit and we can therefore not guarantee that they will work. Testing should be completed to ensure the option will work successfully in your basket. Please get in touch with a member of the accessplanit team if you have any questions about this.
