Learn how to stop advertising a single Course for public bookings

If you need to take a Course down off your website, and prevent people from being able to add it to their basket, it is a very quick process to update it to make it hidden!

Setting your Course to not longer be advertised means that, not only is the Course no longer available to display on your website, it will also not be available to book in your Learner Portal.

This step will run through how to stop advertising a Course so that it no longer displays on your website.

  1. From the Main Navigation Menu got to Courses> Class, Courses>Web depending on which Course you are looking to advertiseOpen the ‘Class’ or ‘Web’ Courses DataGrid from your main navigation menu on the left

  2. This will open the Courses DataGrid

  3. Find the Course you no longer wish to advertise by applying filters and/or searching the Courses DataGrid

  4. Edit the Course you wish to set to ‘Advertise’ by Right not be advertised, by right-clicking on the course date Course in your DataGrid, and selecting Edit ‘Edit’ from the context menu options

  5. This will open the 'Details' page of the course

    If you scroll to the bottom of the ‘Details’ page, you will see there is a section named ‘Promotion’ which has a checkbox available, you will see this check box is ticked so that the Course is advertised

  1. Scroll down to the ‘Promotion’ section on the page which has an ‘Advertise’ checkbox available, if this is checked the Course is currently advertised

  2. To stop advertising the Course,

un tick this tick box. You
  1. uncheck this checkbox, you will see the additional

fields disappear
  1. 'Advertise Date Range' and 'Hide from Web' options are now hidden

  2. If you visit the section on your web page where you no longer want the Course to ‘Advertise’ you will now see that this Course

has disappeared

    Please not the below is an example table showing a list of courses, yours may look slightly different depending on how it has been configured

Please note - The Advertise tick box must be un ticked at the Course template level as well to ensure it no longer shows within your Web page

Top Tip

If you want to stop advertising all of the Courses for a Course Template, you can instead set your Course Template to not be advertised.
