Learn how to stop advertising an eLearning or Document Course for public bookings

If you need to take an eLearning Course or a Knowledge Document Course down off your website, and prevent people from being able to add it to their basket, it is a very quick process to update it to make it hidden!

Setting your Course to not longer be advertised means that, not only is the Course no longer available to display on your website, it will also not be available to book in your Learner Portal.

This step will run through how to stop advertising both eLearning and Knowledge Document Courses

  1. From the Main Navigation Menu got to Course TemplatesOpen the ‘Course Templates’ page from your main navigation menu on the left

  2. This will open the 'Course Template DataGrid

    Using

  3. the Search bar or by adding a filter, locate the eLearning Course or Knowledge Document Find the Course that you no longer want to Advertisewish to advertise by applying filters and/or searching the Course Templates DataGrid

  4. Right-click on your Course Template and selected the ‘Edit’ option from the context menu options

  5. This will open the the ‘Details’ page of the Course Template

    If you scroll to the bottom of the ‘Details’ page, you will see there is a section named ‘Promotion’ which has a checkbox available, you will see this checkbox is ticked so that the Course is

  6. Click on the ‘Promotion’ section menu option at the top of the page to be taken to the advertise settings for this Course Template

  7. Within the ‘Promotion’ section on the page you will see that the Course Template has the ‘Advertise’ checkbox checked, meaning the Course is currently advertised

  8. To stop advertising the Course, un tick uncheck this checkbox. You , you will see the additional fields promotion settings disappear

  9. Click the 'Save' button in the top right to save your changes

  10. If you visit the section on your web page where you no longer want the Course to ‘Advertise’ website where your Course was previously advertised, you will now see that this Course has disappeared is no longer available
    Please not note, the below is an example table showing a list of courses, yours may will look slightly different depending on how it has been styled and configured
