Learn how to update information for multiple rows in your DataGrids at once using the Bulk Edit tool.

The Bulk Edit feature available from your platform DataGrids provides you with the capability ability to update multiple rows with the same information that you specify. in one go.

This functionality allows you to efficiently modify update multiple records in a single operation, streamlining the process of making updates across a range of data entriesat once, to save you time and reduce repetitive work.

Bulk Edit option

Bulk Editing can be done from a number of DataGrids, however not all fields is available from most of your platform DataGrids, and there is a wide range of setting that can be bulk edited, please note that not all data can be updated using the Bulk Edit function.

Please Note
For this example we will be using the Course’s Courses Class DataGrid however, the same steps can be used for on any DataGrid / that offers the Bulk Editing option.

  1. From the Main Navigation Menu, select the area of the Platform that you wish to use the Bulk Edit option from

  2. This will open the corresponding DataGrid for the area that you have selected

  3. Select the records you wish to Bulk Edit by clicking the Checkbox's and highlighting checkboxes, this will highlight the rows in blue

  4. Click the ‘Bulk Edit’ button at the top of the your DataGrid

  5. This will show a drop-down option that defaults to the first possible field option that can be updated by the tool

  6. Using the Dropdowndropdown, select which field the information you are looking to Bulk Edit. Not all fields are available using the Bulk Edit optionbulk edit, please note that not all information can be bulk edited

    Options available within the Dropdown dropdown will vary depending on which DataGrid you are using

  7. Once you have chosen your field what information you would like to update, you will need to provide the information your updating. value that will be set against each of your selected rows
    Some may be free text boxes for you to enter the information in to and , some may be dates, or numbers, others may be dropdowns dropdown boxes

  8. Optional - You you can Bulk Edit multiple fields for the same selected rows by using the '+' button

  9. Once you have Entered entered all of the information you wish to needed for your Bulk Edit, Click click the ‘Save’ Button
