Advertise a Course

Learn how to advertise a single Course for public bookings

Once you have a Course ready to publish on your website, it is a very quick process to update it to make it public!

Setting your Course to be advertised means that, not only is the Course now available to display on your website, it will also be available in your Learner Portal. This means that your customers will be able to add this Course to their basket, via your website or Learner Portal.

Follow this page to learn the steps to advertise a single Course.


Advertise a Course

This step will run through how to advertise a Course so that it will display on your website.

  1. Open the ‘Class’ or ‘Web’ Courses DataGrid from your main navigation menu on the left

  2. This will open your Courses DataGrid

  3. Find the Course you want to advertise by applying filters and/or searching the Courses DataGrid

  4. Edit the Course you wish to set to ‘Advertise’ by right-clicking on the Course in your DataGrid, and selecting ‘Edit’ from the context menu options

  5. This will open the 'Details' page of the Course

  6. From your section menu at the top of the form, click on the ‘Promotion’ link to jump to the Promotion section on the page

  7. Within the Promotion section, find the ‘Advertise’ checkbox

  8. Check the ‘Advertise’ checkbox, you will see that additional options become available

    1. Advertise Start Date: the date when this Course will be made available in the XML or HTML plugin feeds which are used for web integration

    2. Advertise End Date: the date when this Course will stop being included in the XML or HTML plugin feeds which are used for web integration

    3. Hide from Web: If you check this option, your Course will be advertised in your Learner Portal, but it will not be included in the XML or HTML plugin feeds which are used for web integration.

  9. Click the 'Save' button in the top right to apply your changes

  10. If you have integrated your Courses into your website, visit the web page where you want the Course to ‘Advertise’, this Course should now be showing
    Please note the below is an example table showing a list of courses, yours will look different depending on how it has been configured and styled

Top Tip

For your Courses to be advertised, the ‘Advertise’ checkbox must be checked on your Course and also on it’s Course Template.
