Learn how to see an overview of a Course.

Ahead of your Course start date it is important to assess any remaining work, evaluate the Course’s profitability, and get a preview of all essential information. This will help you to make informed decisions about the Course, and keep your team informed.

The 'Preview' option available for your Courses not only provides a summary of the Course headlines, it also includes:

  1. A list of the Course’s Delegates

  2. A list of Placeholders on the Course (including how many spaces are left to allocate)

  3. A list of the Bookings

  4. A list of the Course’s Resource Requirements and whether these requirements have been met

  5. A list of Notes that have been added to the Course

  6. A list of Tasks for the Course (including their current status)

🔍 Preview the details of a Course

This step will take you through previewing a Course to see an overview of it’s details.

  1. Navigate to Open the 'Courses Class' or 'Courses Web' DataGrid

  2. Search for or apply filters to find your Course

  3. Right click on the required Course

  4. Select PreviewWeb’ Courses DataGrid from your main navigation menu on the left

  5. This will open your Course DataGrid

  6. First check to see if you have an existing filter available in your DataGrid
    Filters may be included in your filters bar, or they may be tucked away in the Filters drop-down box to the right of the filters bar, if you already have a filter available you can click on it to apply it to your DataGrid

  7. If you do not yet have an existing filter, click on the ‘Filters’ drop-down button to the right of the filters bar and then click on the ‘+ Create New’ option

  8. Depending on which Course you are looking to Preview, think about the kind of filter settings you would like to add
    For example, it may be Courses with the status of ‘Available’ or Courses in the the ‘Future’

  9. Click the ‘Preview’ button to check that your filter works as you expect!

  10. If you would like to save your filter for future use, provide your filter with a name and click on the 'Save' button

  11. Your DataGrid should now only show you Courses that match your filter settings

  12. Once you have located your Course, right click on the Course date to open the Context menu and select ‘Preview’

  13. This will open a pop out box which provides you with a ‘Preview’ of the Course selected

    The pop out will provide you with a breakdown of the Course’s basic information, a list of all Delegates, Placeholders, Bookings, Notes and Tasks.
