How to add a Note

To add a Note in accessplanit you can either add the Note directly against an object (such as a User, an Invoice, or a Course), or you can add a new Note in the Notes DataGrid.

Adding a Note to an object (such as a Course or User)

  1. Open the appropriate DataGrid page, such as the Users DataGrid, and find the object that you would like to add a note against.

  2. From the DataGrid, right click on the relevant object to see the context menu options, and click on the Add button within the Notes menu option

  3. Within the Add Note window you will notice that the ‘Mapped To’ section is already filled in for you.

  4. Select an appropriate Note Type and finally type in your Note.

  5. Click Save & Close.

Adding a Note via the Notes Datagrid

  1. Click on the Notes menu option on the left of your accessplanit platform, this will open your Notes DataGrid which contains all of your existing Notes.

  2. Click Add Note at the top of your Notes DataGrid

  3. Select what object this Note should be Mapped To by selecting the Object Type (i.e. Course) using the drop-down and then choosing the Object using Select

  4. Select an appropriate Note Type and finally type in your Note.

  5. Click Save & Close and this will add the Note to your Notes DataGrid. You'll also be able to access the Note from the Mapped To Object.

How to edit an existing Note

  1. Locate the Note by going to the Notes DataGrid or by going to the Notes section for the Object that the Note is mapped to (such as an Account's Notes section).

  2. Right click on the relevant Note and select Edit from the context menu.

  3. Make the relevant changes to the Note, and click Save & Close to save your changes.

How to search for a Note

You cannot use the global search to search for Notes. This must be done from the Notes DataGrid.

  1. Open the Notes DataGrid on the main menu on the left of your accessplanit platform.

  2. Use the Search bar at the top of the DataGrid to search for your Note.

  3. Alternatively, use the filtering options on the DataGrid.
