Filters are a great way of narrowing your search criteria to only view Courses that were added to your platform today! Doing this allows you to focus on the Courses making it easier to stay organised.

Add a Filter to the DataGrid
This step will walk you through how to apply filters to your platform DataGrids to limit the results to view all Courses that have been created for the current date
To view all relevant Courses, you will follow these steps:
Create a new DataGrid Filter so you can view all relevant Courses
Save the Filter for use again in the future
From the Main Navigation Menu, select ‘Courses’ and then either ‘Class Course’, ‘Web Course’ or ‘eLearning’
This will open the relevant DataGrid
From the DataGrid, select the ‘Filters’ button and then click on the ‘+ Create New’ option from the top right of your DataGrid
Use the filter options to define the conditions of your new Filter,
It's recommended to use Date Created in the Time Period of Today

If you would like all of the conditions (each row of your filter) to be met for a result to appear in your DataGrid, leave the ‘All’ option set in the toggle button 'Where the results meet all/any of the conditions
If you would like any of the conditions (any row of your filter) to be met for a result to appear in your DataGrid, click the ‘All’ option to change it to ‘Any’ in the toggle button 'Where the results meet all/any of the conditions.
For example, if you have multiple settings
When the ‘Any’ option is set within the filter, Courses will show if they do not have a Created by ID OR they were not in the time period selected
When the ‘All’ option is set within the filter, Courses will show if they do not have a Created by ID AND they are in the time period selected
Click the ‘Preview’ button to check that your filter works as you expect! If no results show, you may need to tweak your filter settings as there may not be any data available to view
This will show you the filtered data within the DataGrid
If you would like to save your filter for future use, provide your filter with a name and click on the 'Save' button
If you have saved your DataGrid Filter, it will have been added to your filters bar which you can toggle on/off by clicking on it.
Filter on (blue):Filter off (grey):
Your filter will now be available for you to use, each time you open this DataGrid
Export the Data (Optional)
Exporting the data from the DataGrid into Excel allows you to view and manipulate the data to suit you.
From the DataGrid, select the data you wish to export, you can do this by using the ‘mass selection’ checkbox or manually selecting the Courses you wish to export
Once you are happy with the data you will be exporting, click the ‘Export’ button at the top of the DataGrid
This will open the ‘Export’ form, fill in the required information
Rows - This selector has three options:
All Pages will export all the pages in the DataGrid
Current Page will export only the current page of data selected on the grid
Selected Rows will export only the rows that have the checkbox selected (select this option if you only want to export the selection of data that you have filtered and selected)Format - This selector allows you to specify the output file format of the export, the options are as follows: Excel XLXS, Excel XLS. Word DOCX, CSV, PDF, XML
Columns - This option allows you to specify the columns that are included in the export. Selecting 'Restore selected columns' will set the option back to its default and remove any columns you may have added or removed.
File Name - This will be the name of the file once it has been exported.
(NOTE: You cannot include the. symbol in the File Name as this will corrupt the file when saved)Headers - Allows you to specify if the header columns will be included in the export or not.
Once you have defined your settings, click the ‘Export’ button
This will automatically download the data into the format you have requested. This usually appears in the top right of your web browser
The document will also be found within your ‘Downloads’ file within your File Explorer
Please Note
Each Excel cell has a character limit of 32,767. If you exceed the character limit in your export, the entire Excel page will fail to load. To avoid problems, keep the number of characters in your cell below the limit.
Exporting large DataGrids of data may slow your platform down or cause a timeout error. If this occurs, we advise exporting the information in multiple downloads and running your exports outside of busy periods.

Can I delete the filter?
How do I edit the filter?
If you wish to ‘edit’ the filter, all you need to do is double-click on the filter name and this will open the filter settings again for you
The filter name will go yellow when it's in ‘edit mode’
