Creating the Import Profile

First, you need to create an Import Profile to use for the upload. Click here for more information on how to do this.

To import Opportunities to accessplanit, you will need to use the Opportunity Destination.

You will need to choose a unique field to use as your Key Column for the Opportunities Import Profile. This is mostly commonly 'Title' or 'DateCreated' as these will be unique fields for each sales opportunity you have.

The following fields are also mandatory for this import:

  • LinkedUserID - this is the User that the Opportunity should be linked to

  • LinkedCompanyID - this is the Account that the Opportunity should be linked to

  • CompanyID - this is the training provider's ID that the Opportunity should sit under

  • Title - this is the title of the Opportunity

  • DateCreated - this is the date that the Opportunity was raised/created (this is a DateTime field so include time)

  • SourceLabel - this is name of the Source of the Opportunity (there is a list of the available options on the platform, and this is also configurable using Custom List Items)

  • SourceTypeLabel - this is the name of the Source Type of the Opportunity (there is a list of the available options on the platform, and this is also configurable using Custom List Items)

  • SalesStageLabel - this is the label of the Sales Stage for the Opportunity

Please note, the CSV file MUST match the Import Profile and all mandatory fields above Must be listed within the CSV file for this Import to work.

Filling in the Import File

Then, you need to create your import file that you will use to upload the data. Below is a sample file showing you how to format it:

Opportunity Import Template File.xlsx

All imports should be uploaded in a CSV format, as they lack formatting that would otherwise be included within the file.
