An eLearning course is a type of course th= e Delegate will complete online through their Learner Por= tal. As such, there is no need for a Trainer, Venue, or specific start and = end times for the course.
You must= be within the Advanced band or higher to use eLearning as this is a charge= able module/integration. Please speak to = your CSM if you are unsure whether you should have access to this feature.<= /span>

If you are having an issue with an eLearni= ng course and would like to troubleshoot this, cli= ck here.
You can set up eLearning Courses within the Course Templates area of you= r platform. There are a few areas that you'll need to fill out first though= , so below is a brief overview of what the most important fields are:
Course Template ID
Here, you can enter in the ID of =
the Template. If you leave this blank, the platform will populate this for =
you.
Training Provider
This is the Account that runs the =
eLearning course. You'll need to make sure that this Account is the same Ac=
count that your eLearning package is stored under, otherwise you won't be a=
ble to assign it to the course.
Label
This is the name of your eLearning course. We =
recommend naming it something relating to the package or the package's cont=
ent, to make it easy to find later.
Course Template Type
You'll want to make sure that y=
ou've set this to eLearning in order to make an eLearning course.
Delivery Method
This can be either In-House or Publi=
c, depending on the types of Delegates you expect to be running the package=
for.
External ID
The External ID is generally used for if=
your courses exist outside of the platform. This field can be used for rep=
orting purposes, or for building Workflows.
Administrators
Here, you can assign Administrators f=
or your course.
Duration
Whilst eLearning courses are generally made=
available for people take part in at an un-scheduled time, you are able to=
select the date range for when this Course Template will be available for =
Delegates.
Cost
In this field, you can enter the cost of your e=
Learning course, and determine the cost type (eg. by Delegate, Hour, or Ses=
sion).
Training Points
Here, you can determine the minimum =
pass scores that a Delegate must achieve to pass the eLearning Course. If y=
ou are publishing your eLearning courses in SCORM 1.2, you mus=
t have Minimum Pass Score populated in order to pass across succes=
s status and ultimately setting your Delegates to Completed. If you a=
re publishing your courses in SCORM 1.2 and cannot see this area of the eLe=
arning template, contact the Cus=
tomer Support Team.
Quick Start
Ticking this box allows Delegates to acc=
ess the course immediately after purchase.
Auto Complete
This field will change the Delegates S= tatus to Completed when the Delegate has completed and pas= sed the package, or Failed if the Delegate has completed a= nd failed the package.
Set to 'Completed' if Passed
If the Success Status of the delegate that s sent from package = is Passed, but the Completion Status is eith= er not set or is Incomplete, then ticking this option will= automatically set the delegate's Completion Status to Com= plete.
Start Date
This field designates when a package can be accessed from.
Expiry Date
Here, inputting a date will prevent Delegates from accessing the package= after this period.
Lifetime
This field allows you to specify the amount of time, in months, that Del= egates have to access the package once they've booked onto it.
eLearning Package
Here is where you need to associate a pre-built and uploaded eLearning p= ackage within the Administration - eLearning area of the platform= .
URL
Alternatively, if the course is online then you can enter the URL into t= he relevant field.
Please note, if you are using a URL to direct the Delegate to a web page= rather than go through an eLearning package you will not receive any vital= information such as Delegate results, and the Delegate will not be able to= access the package through the User Portal. We therefore strongly recommen= d uploading packages.
Show Success Overview for Delegates
<=
/p>
If you have the box ticked, this means the "Success Overview" page will = be available to Delegates from their Leaner Portal.
The Success Overview provides Delegates with detail about how well they = performed on the course. So, if you allow your Delegates to resit eLearning= courses, you can now hide this information from them by un-checking this o= ption.
Document Templates and Surveys
In these fields, you =
can attach Certificates and Surveys to your eLearning course. These can be =
sent out to Delegates via Workflows.
Promotion
Here, you can determine whether your cours=
e will be available to book on your website by ticking the Advertise box.=
p>
Award
The Awards field allows you to assign Awards that Delegates will receive up=
on completing and passing the eLearning course.
Attributes
In this tab, you can access information a=
bout the eLearning Course Template, such as its ID. If you have Sage Integr=
ation, you will be able to fill in your Sage Department, Nominal, and Tax C=
odes in here.
Text
Here, you can add Joining Instruction and Overv=
iew text. This can be pulled through by merge fields into Email or Text Templates and then=
sent out in emails via Workflows.
R=
esources
If necessary, you can assign Resources to your Template here.
Plan
The Plan tab allows you to add eLearning course=
s together in a bundle with your current Template. The eLearning plan funct=
ions in a similar way to sessions within a Class co=
urse. You can learn more about eLearning Plans here.
Tasks
The Tasks tab allows you to assign your Admini=
strators Tasks associated with this course.
Notes and File Store
Here, you can add and manage No=
tes and File Store Files associated with this Course Template.
Override
The Override tab allows you to set an Overr=
ide Alias for the Course Template for certain Accounts within your platform=
. This means that the course will appear under a different name for users w=
ithin these Accounts.
Categories and Industries
Categories and Industries =
can be assigned and managed in these tabs. They're generally used for eithe=
r reporting purposes, or for Workflows.
Exclusivity
Here, you can determine whether only cer=
tain Accounts or Account Groups will be able to access this eLearning cours=
e.
Price Schemes
Price Schemes allow you to set up spec=
ial prices for your courses depending upon the user's Account.
Audit Logs
The Audit Logs allow you to track any cha=
nges Users have made to the Course Template. It keeps a record of who made =
the change, what changes they made, and the time and date that they made th=
ese changes.
Can I make a Placeholder booking on an eLearning Course?
No it is not possible to add a placeholder booking for your eLearning Co= urses through the shopping basket, this is due to eLearning courses requiri= ng a named delegate for eLearning features such as 'lifetime' (how long the= delegate has to complete the course).
